Pekin Bantam
Named after the city of Peking, where it is thought to have originated, this beautiful small, soft feathered bird is a true bantam having no large fowl counterpart.
Pekins are wonderfully fluffy and friendly so make fabulous children’s pets and their small, feathered feet cause less garden damage than other types of hens. They are available in many colours and lay approximately 90-95 small white or tinted eggs per year. Pekin bantams are often broody and make great mothers.
