Cochin
Similar to the Brahma in that it is a giant breed with a gentle temperament, these beautiful birds were a favourite with Queen Victoria. It’s not hard to see why with their fabulous feathered bodies and legs. They are cold hardy although prefer to have access to a covered run in wintertime. Cochins make excellent mothers and will lay up to 180 light brown eggs per year.
